A fountain for fun

06/21/2021

This is a project for the enjoyment of projects. I started with a tractor tire and added a pond liner that I was given to us by our eldest son. We found this bear fountain at a garage sale for 10 dollars. (currently the bears are getting freshened up with a new paint job.) The garage sale find was missing the pump. All the rocks of different shapes and sizes, colors and textures came from our land.

A work in progress that will prolly take me all summer to complete. I might even make it solar power, or wind even. I am a dabbler, it is how I learn. I figure if I start small with something like a fountain I can eventually work my way up to solar/wind power for the house or barn

I am unsure where the rocks come from when farming. I used to think all the fence posts with welded wire columns filled with rocks were the coolest thing ever. I now know it is almost a necessity. Rock projects are a must. If you don't find homes for the rocks they end up back in your field. Where they bend the shit out of your equipment and break your shovels.

The pigs love to dig them up and throw them. I have seen a pig throw a rock she dug up about 10 feet across the yard with her snout.
