We started the month with one of my in laws in the hospital. The following week I was thrown off 4-wheeler. I landed in the ER having a Trauma code run on me. Thankfully, I only broke my collar bone, and my son had some minor abrasions. I finished of the month in a sling. All the while my mother-in-law was put in the ICU in complete kidney failure. The good news in this is my mom has been available to help while Jeanne is with her mom and dad. Jeanne's mom is now at home on hospice care. Jeanne has had the opportunity to hold her hand through these last hard weeks. I have held down the fort with my boys and mom. My injury has allowed Jeanne to be with her family during this precious time. It also has allowed me to be home for the farrowing of the piglets. letting my boys be there to watch the farrowing process and learn how piglets are born. All this extra time with family, on the farm has been an unseen benefit during this month of suck.
